I prefer smoking up..........

Me and my friends smoke up now...but I never use to high school. I find it far better than drinking once you get use to it. We have absolutely hilarious conversations, and generally have a very good time. I find drinking makes me more moody.......really up and down. Weed just mellows you out........makes shows like Most Extreme Elimination Challenge and Family GUy even more funny.

I'm not saying smoke up or anything.........just that I personally enjoy it, and I can separate it from work and school without any significant problems.

Would someone just fucking lock this thread? We've had this conversation 12 times over, and all it does is just cause a fight between Reno and I, so just fucking lock it.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Hmm, I'd have to go with drinkin', just cuz I don't like killin' the ole brain cells.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

I have yet to see anything positive come out of drinking or doing drugs.

it's where the argument between smoking pot and drinking has been moved, it contains arguments on which is more destructive to our society and even a hint of legaliztaion arguments, i think it has a large part to do with our world

i'm of course not taking part in it, but it's pretty common practise to make a new thread to get an old one back on track  :)

I find it a moderately interesting topic.

I think pot is bad, cuz it kills brain cells (and is illegal)

Alcohol, when used in moderation, is not that bad, in my opinion. If you've had a rough day, or you're really nervous/have a lot on your mind, a beer or two to knock the edge off isn't too bad a thing. But, if you just get plastered, I don't think that's good because, 1.) it's unhealthy, and 2.) you could do things you would really regret.

Everybody who smokes a fat blunt or pounds & pushes bottles of beer KNOWS it's bad for ya. (If you don't - then you're clinically diagnosed as a MORON)

But......we're human, we're stupid....how else can you put it?

Beer rules, I'm 24, I go to school, I don't have kids or any HUGE reason to be overly-responsible. So I drink.

I have a friend who smokes weed and also works 70 hours a week. Not because he has to because he wants to. It's not that everybody that does either isn't responsible. It's just something to do.

I can't see anyone arguing that alcohol is healthier........its about choice really. In moderate amounts, both are generally harmless. When you abuse it, alcohol is probably worse, but then again, weed has a lot of carcinogens. My friend drinks.......didn't like pot.........but I don't like alcohol.

People that sayone or the other is really bad for you, but like the other are being idiotic with obvious favourtism........Weed being illegal really means nothing.....alcohol I find makes people far more destructive and idiotic than weed ever did.......but again, I don't hate either.....I just have a preference.

If people can't engage in a friendly debate or conversation............then don't come here with your own personal bias against the thread. Don't read it!

I prefer drinking, not too fond of smoking anything .. besides the fact I still can't seem to inhale properly and I just feel like a moron doing it :) I think I smoked weed maybe a few times in college just to try it and that's it. Not really my thing. I've recently discovered ecstasy and it's true to it's name .. pretty intense .. but it's very cool. Drugs are bad kids, mmmkay.

I think pot is stupid, personally. Unless it's being used for medicinal purposes or something.

I suppose I'm partial to alcohol because my whole family, basically, drink. But they're not alcoholics or anything. It's just, you know, family's over, have a couple beers, an aunt or an uncle gets drunk, we laugh and give them a ride home. That's about it.

To my knowledge, nobody in my family smokes pot.. so.. yeah..
