Anyone else becoming jaded by the world they live in? I'm becoming more and more resigned to man kinds fate each day. It's not that i'm loosing my faith in my morals and ideology. I have just lost alot of my faith in our world ever getting better, it feels like we're slipping farther and farther in oblivion all the time. Instead of fighting i'm starting to just sit back and enjoy the show. This scares me but each day it gets worse. I think it's more then just me feeling this way as well, our generation needs a revolutionary to re-kindle social minds. Every side of the spectrum can easily see we're slipping into our downfall, we all just have diffrent ideas on the cause and the cure. But if something is not done soon, i could see our generation being the last before we're fully enveloped in our own decadence or slip into ignorance and reach all time new lows of humanity.

it's weird cause all it really takes is a couple people to change things. if people who actually wanted to make a difference were in charge of the top 5 countries in the world, things could be improved.

People like her are what discourage me about the future. I mean, people like her that get stoned and come onto messageboards bragging about it are really just pretty pathetic people, and I'm sure any free thinking person would agree. Wow, you smoked a couple bowls, have red eyes, think you're funny, and you all of a sudden rule? No, you're a waste on society and will probably be one of those people in the future that fuck someone's life over. People like her scare me. They're the scourge of society because they will be the future and will probably have kids and they'll turn out to be fucked up too.

As for the actual topic, yeah. I feel like I'm jaded. I'm only sixteen and already I find it hard to have hope for the future. It's hard to have dreams when everyone is constantly telling you they won't come true anyway. That you're just being really naive.
I was watching Madonna's <i>American Life</i> video. When she sings "I just realised that nothing is what it seems", my first thought was <i>Well, isn't that a little late? You're forty-something, about time you figured that out</i>. And I think that's so sad.
We're supposed to have ideals, and dreams. But every single day, society tells us that they won't come true anyway. We're discouraged and desillusioned before we even start.

I too feel like the current age is making us all jaded. Imagine if the things going on today were reported as they are now 20 years ago; they'd have spazzed over some of this stuff.

though i've never used the term[jaded]. how can i not be? CNN has made a mockery of the War with Iraq, documenting it like the next big TV Series. Bush went to war for OIL, and Tony Blair followed like a trained puppy, and what gets me more than everything, is that Hundreds of thousands of children die each day in africa of things as little as a head cold, and no one has the fucking time of day to give some money, or atleast a shit because america is so caught up in the lucrutiveness of oil, and past issues with sadam. this world makes me sick, so yeah. im jaded.
