I was never a huge Beatles fan either, but I think Lennon's death DEFINES the word tragedy.

Usually I'm pretty cold, but when I watch specials on what happened and how people reacted, I get angry and sad. What a waste...

 i see you found that site too, there's a guy on the IME board that almost completely communicates through pictures and titles
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

"Hold on, hold on children, your mother and father are leaving, hold on, hold on children your best freind's parents are leaving, leaving,.......*AHHH*! " - Death From Above - Black History Month

It wasn't Dec 9th, It was Dec 8th. I still remember it, like it was Yesterday. I live in NYC area and remember everything from the reports of him being shot, to the report of him dying. I remember how they had a vigil the Sunday following his death in Central Park(what became Strawberry Fields later on). I remember the papers. I still get sad when this day comes.

OLP record Imagine on the Anniversary of his death in 2000, when they did the Club Crawl Tour.

Actually Lennon's Legend is a great CD( it is out on DVD now) It is John Lennon's Greatest Hits so to speak. Also Double Fantasy( the last record he released alive) is a great CD.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

^^^^ This was the post i responded to. it says Dec 9th, SO I worte it was the 8th. That is the only reason I wrote that.

Anyway I think now and then that his death was so senseless. When I saw the Lennon Exhibit at eh Rock Hall last year they actually had the clothes he was killed in on display. I thought that was really tasteless.
