Our Lady Peace contest
Win a double pass to see OLP's new DVD in theatres!
Here's your opportunity to win a double pass to a special one-night in-theatre event for the upcoming release of Our Lady Peace's new live DVD.

There will be a winner drawn for a double pass for each of the following cities and theatres (transportation not included):

Vancouver -- Metropolis
Victoria -- Silvercity
Calgary -- Paramount
Edmonton -- West Edmonton Mall
Winnipeg -- Polo Park
Ottawa -- Coliseum
Toronto -- Paramount
Halifax -- Park Lane

The event will feature a live performance video from the DVD and backstage footage.

The event is taking place on November 3 and will be in theatres nationwide.

The DVD will be in Canadian stores on November 11.

All you have to do is answer a skill-testing question on the contest entry page.

You will need a CANOE ID in order to enter this contest. Fill it in on the top right hand side of this page or, if you don't have a CANOE ID yet, click on GET ID.

Once you've filled in your ID, you'll be taken directly to the contest entry page.

Order Our Lady Peace's "Live" CD right here. Don't forget, it's in stores now.

Who the hell would want to go to a theater to see a recording of a band playing live? Seems like a waste. I'd rather enter a contest to get OLP to play in a small venue or something...

Sometimes it is fun to see it on a big screen in surround sound. I saw Rattle and Hum in the theatres. that was fun because it was the NYC premiere. I just saw a bunch of U2 dvd's on screen at the Rock Hall when i saw the U2 exhibit.

It is the experience. I doubt it wil be out in theatres that long.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

I hate fucking contests. Why can't they happen in places that I live in?!!?!
ugh.

But this is the odd part.
and will be in theatres nationwide.

Why would it be in theaters other then that one night?
that seems strange

I think it's only one night. But it's in those theatres listed, which are spread out "nation wide".

I thought the contest was for those 8 theatres, and then they were also playing at other theatres nation wide...

So, if this thing is happening one night only at those theaters....what exactly do you WIN? free tickets? a whole ten bucks prize... :freak:

seriously, what DO you win? :wtf: if i'm actually going to bother to get my ass on down to vancouver, somehow i think the extra cost of paying for the theatre will be the least of my concerns.

Especially because I probably will have no idea how I got there. :uh:

And I am supposed to be at a debate in Kelowna on that day (yes, im cool, you dont have to tell me )

Oh, but I do.  Whoo hoo, shitty Winnipeg!

Argh...maybe there will be extra stuff. I hope it doesn't cost a lot. OLP should have done something similar to what David Bowie recently did, where he recorded an ENTIRE live concert and put it in a shitload of theatres (but then again, David Bowie is God and knows how to make stuff like this interesting.). The DVD will probably be bits and pieces of footage. Argh.

No, the DVD has 20 songs; the full setlist. They just picked the best of each song from two or three concerts.
