He also does some on the new songs, doesn't he?

He'd probably also do Naveed (unless he kept his acoustic).

So he basically just uses an electric guitar now instead of an acoustic?

So why not just play the acoustic?
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I dont' know. What he had before wasn't exactly an acoustic, I believe it was a chet atkins with nylon strings (like dave matthews), but it was a solid body. I guess the difference witht the new guitar is mainly the feel of it. I'm sure there are some slight differences with sound too, though with effects nowadays you can get almost any sound you with a good guitar.

It would just be a different sound. I doubt he'd have to use much to make the new guitar sound good on the old songs. Maybe a little reverb and some level tweaking.

The Chet Atkins is like a half-acoustic. It has the slim body of an electric, but I believe it uses acoustic style pickups.

Plus, the SG is more "raw".

All the songs he plays guitar on that guitar was used for that tour. Those songs would be Superman's Dead(it sounded awseom how Raine actually is the lead in for the song, before Steve joins in. For somereason I never really noticed it on the other guitars.) Walking in Circles( I think -can't remember if he plays on that song or not) and Clumsy,
