The Black-Out

How is it that you folks that had power weren't making fun of all of those of us without it?

when did everyone's power come back on?
in Welland it came back at around 8:45 last night. So we were only without power for a few hours.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

It was kinda cool .. the entire mall where I worked lost power .. I guess it was all into the US too .. power was lost from Florida to Ottawa. Anyway, the entire mall lost power, EXCEPT for where I work.

Ha .. thank goodness we had those back up generaters that would have kept us going for days.

It was funny when the American's were calling in asking why their phone quit working and we tell them it's a power outage, and that it was a problem on our end .. they're like phew .. not a terroist attack then .. who'd do that to Canada?

GLORIOUS COMPUTER POWER!!!

Oh my God, I am a worthless shell of a man without a computer. I wrote three songs, re-read The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, and sat in darkness. That was my night. Jesus Christ, I hope this never happens again.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

hey that actually sounds pretty productive.

in my four hours i sat around, listened to my friend play guitar, sat around, looked at pictures, and sat around.

and then luckily the power came back on. so i sat around and watched the led zepplin dvd.

I wish that the power had gone out here. Maybe I would have done something productive.

Now they're doing random blackouts in Ontario for the rest of the day. They aren't giving any notice though as to when a random blackout may happen in your area, which doesn't seem like a very good idea.

My power came back on at around 10:20 last night.

However, since we're still low on power, we're doing "rolling blackouts" in Kingston.

Fuck.

Now the power just randomly goes off for a couple of hours.

We were waiting all day at work for it to go off. And it never did. :freak:
