In what order...

Post by Axtech »

In what order did you buy/experience OLP's albums. If you downloaded a full album, that counts.

Here's me:

First I downloaded a few songs off Kazaa. I got the few that were most popular (most people had it). One of which was Automatic Flowers.

Then...

Clumsy (bought it because of SD)
Happiness... (bought it the next week because Clumsy was awesome)
Naveed (it was a toss-up at this point between this and SM, but I bought Naveed because the few songs that I had downloaded had some great guitar riffs)
SM (got it the first Easter after it came out [which was a week or two after I bought Naveed).
Gravity
Live (forgot this one)

Yes, I am bored.

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

Bought Happiness first, after seeing them in 2000
Then ordered Clumsy and Naveed from an online store
Bought Spiritual Machines
Downloaded Gravity
Bought Gravity
And recently went to Canada to pick up the Live album (well I didn't go because of that, but it was one of the things i did there)
Now I'm waiting for the dvd.

I like this thread...

Hmm, well I loved Starseed, but never knew who the band was- I always heard it on the radio

Clumsy- because of SD as well.
Naveed- because Clumsy rocked- then i finally realized who sang that song Starseed! :P
The rest just follows in sequential order.

i was a fan of their singles since like 97... but never bought clumsy or happiness cause my brother had them, so i figured i'd just borrow his.

- then my brother got me SM for chrismas when it came out

- i loved that and ended up buying Clumsy and Happiness on the same day... i think i listened to clumsy first.

- a little later I bought naveed.. but it took me a while to get into it.

- bought gravity on the day it came out.

- got live about 3 weeks ago.

GO LIME GREEN!

I heard One Man Army first. I downloaded some other songs, including Automatic Flowers, Clumsy, 4AM, Starseed and Superman's Dead.

First bought Spiritual Machines, because it was the first OLP record I could find, and it was on sale.
Got Happiness for Sinterklaas. I had especially asked for it because of OMA.
Bought Gravity, because it was the easiest to get.
Got Clumsy and Naveed for my birthday.
Bought the Live album from play.com

It's source is bright and endless. She resuscitates the hopeless. Without her we are lifeless satellites dreaming dreams. And as I pull my head out I am without one doubt. Don't want to be down here feeding my narcissism. I must crucify the ego before it's far too late. I pray the light lifts me out before I pine away.

1. Clumsy (even though I had been a fan since I saw the Naveed video on Much. It took me forever to find out who they were because I missed the end of the video where they put the artist. I got a bit obsessive trying to see that video again :) )
2. Naveed
3. Happiness
4. Spiritual Machines
5. Gravity
6. Live

Well, I became a fan AFTER my fiance was already a fan (she had owned Clumsy since a few weeks after its US release) so for ME personally it went as such:

SM (bought it myself after listening to my fiance's copy)
Clumsy
Naveed & Happiness (bought them at the same time from secondspin.com)
Gravity
Live
