Getting A Good Nights Sleep

Post by senseofurgency »

Has anyone got any advice on how I can manage to have one. I just can't switch off, it doesn't matter how tired I am.

Benadryl. Take two of those and within an hour you'll be nice and sleepy.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Yeah I have been thinking of trying something like that. Although I hate taking pills or whatever its starting to get outta hand where I'll go two days straight with like two hours sleep.

You've been here for a day and you're already saying we're as bad as the CC? Wow.

I'd avoid pills. You could end up dependant on them.

Al's actually right, as long as you have no moral objections to it. Masturbation is a proven relaxant. Plus, you know, it's fun and all that.

I had trouble sleeping awhile so a friend of mine bought me nyquil...It works for him, but I actually haven't tried it yet. I've been sleeping okay lately.

For awhile there I was anti-sleeping because I didn't think it was worth the frustration.

Seriously. It really fucking pissed me off that I couldn't sleep... After awhile I would stay up and draw or something for an hour or so and then sleep.

Actually alcohol is the only thing for certain that'll make me sleep, but unfortunatly I amn't a big drinker and would like to remain that way. I will leave it for a little while and if my lack of sleep continues I may go to my doctor to see what he recommends.

yeah i'm hard core insomniac, i can't turn my head off at night, sometimes i don't even relize i've been thining about something. Try reading, it doesnt really work very well for me, but it sometimes helps a bit, if your eyes are exhausted it's a bit easier

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

ME TOO!!!!

It really, really sucks
My brain seriously will not turn off sometimes
It keeps going and going and going and going...

and then i realize that i have been unconsciously thinking the whole night and get no sleep

Last night i got like 2 hrs of sleep
I was tired but i need extreme silence to fall asleep and last night everybody in my house was walking around and talking and i could hear people outside

and then for some reason when I am laying in bed, tired, my logic starts to fail

Last night at 4 AM I was convinced that my heart was beating faster than normal and that I was going to die in my sleep or something, so I spent a half an hour trying to put my hand to my chest and feel my heart beating

When I woke up I realized how stupid I was

 Weird things happen to me at night when I can't sleep
