Song About Abortion

Post by NunoFreak »

I know this sixteen year old girl who got pregnant by a 31 year old guy, and she is having an abortion. A good friend of mine is in love with her, and it inspired me to write this song tonight. Any feedback will be appreciated!

THIS WAY

These weren’t my intentions
It was never supposed to happen this way
I had a name for you
But not for five years more.

These weren’t my tears
It was never supposed to happen this way
I had a plan for you
But not for five years more.

Baby come and baby go
So soon the angels fly away
It was meant to be, yes
But never this way.

These weren’t my beliefs
It was never supposed to happen this way
I had a home for you
But not for five years more.

These weren’t my scars
It was never supposed to happen this way
I had a father for you
But not for five years more.

Baby come and baby go
So soon the angels fly away
It was meant to be, yes
But never this way.

I was too young to give you a life
I had no one to run to
No shoulder to cry on
I was alone with you and I made a choice
Please know that I regret never hearing your voice
Or seeing you laugh and cry when it hurts
Please know that I will always love you
I will always love you.

Baby come and baby go
So soon the angels fly away
It was meant to be, yes
But never this way.

It was meant to be, yes
But never this way.

A touchy subject, but very well executed. Bravo!

And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

Thanks again, it is encouraging to receive feedback, whether it's positive or negative, from people I don't know. I actually wrote two songs yesterday, the one posted here and another called "Damn", which wasn't as good in my opinion. It didn't take me but ten minutes to write both of them. Sometimes it just flows out of me. And I don't have any music either, I just write lyrics. When I was in a band I had a guitar player to write with, and that was much easier. Sorry to rant...
