Cold - Year of the Spider

They're an amazing band that seems to get better with every CD. Anyone buy it? Download "Cure my Tragedy" and "Rain Song." They blow me away.

cold is really good, it's one of the few "heavy" bands that actually has brains and talent. I Love the back up singing on "No One", It seems like the perfect part for raine to sing

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

i saw cold live about 3 weeks ago with finger eleven opening. They are a very good live band and are very close with their fans. Scooter was so amazed by the applause and cheers he gave many honest thanks which you can tell were sincere. They sounded amazing and they played a wide variety of stuff. For the encore they played "End of the World" acoustic followed by "Bleed" which was amazing and everyone was singing along. Then they closed with "Just got Wicked" which was amazing and I left knowing I would see them live again.

Finger Eleven were okay but seemed a bit drunk and played mostly new stuff which didnt seem all that great. Definatley go see Cold live

Me too. Everytime they come to Philly I'm either on Winter break (last year) or Spring break (this year). One of these days...

And Cold is wayyyy better than F11 I think. Tip had a few decent songs (Awake and Dreaming, Quicksand). Greyest of Blue Skies was great, but EVERY song followed the same song structure - strong melodies followed by a an even stronger, blaring chrous. And based on Good Times from the new CD.... ugh. Cold is without a doubt more talented. But I still love F11, well, GOBS anyway.

I started liking Cold even before their first album was released. I heard "Go Away" on a promotional CD and I liked it a lot. Their first album didn't impress me, but 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage was a lot better. I just got their new album Year Of The Spider and it's pretty good as well. I think their sound gets redundant, but I like 'em nonetheless.
