there is no spoon

did you ever meet a man who tried as hard as me?
and when you met him did you take all that you could see
from his hands which you believed were yours
and made him row the boat with those oars

chains made out of altruistic lies and guilt
hold the slaves in the cage that they built
for themselves
for themselves

but i won't be held by bonds
that aren't really there
and i won't believe in Gods
that don't really care

oh...
i'm not running away while you run over me
i'm so tired of living my life from my knees
i trust in myself, i'll see you bleed
if i have to destroy you, i'll force you to see

that i'm not finding my way while you try to believe
that the ones you've enslaved are actually free
the dogma you're spouting means nothing to me
now i have to deploy, i'll end your regime

That was good, but in my oppinion the Title of the poem "there is no spoon" takes away from the poem as a whole. Unless this is a poem specifically about the Matrix than i'd change it. I like the poem by itself rather than trying to find relations between it and the movie. Anyway thats just me. I'm not much of a poet so you can ignore me lol.

i applaud you for using the word "altruistic" in your song

"Meet my coalition forces, me myself and I."

"Logic is on a ski trip with it's great buddy reason."

"One lonely day a game of war will be won."

"Sometimes were too busy looking off into the distance, we can't see whats right in front of us."

"Hey is that a cloud off in the distance? No wait it's just a sheep flying."

If Howard Roark could have written songs, I would have beaten my head against a blunt object while reading that book even MORE than I did!

Anyway, I like it. Good rhythm.
