Ditched on my birthday :(

Post by I AM ME »

tommorow's my birthday party and i was looking foreward to going out and just having fun with my friends (and probably drinking a bit), now i just found out that my best friend has decided he's not going to bother coming cause we're not drinking for sure and he wants to get drunk, it's really agitating because i'm kinda my circle of friends counselor, everyone comes to me to talk about there problems and i'm always there for them, esspecially to this certain friend lately, now on my birthday all i wanted to do was hang out and have fun with my friends and now most of them are working and don't feel like coming out and in my best friends case he's just plain blowing me off and acting like it's no big deal.... this is really depressing because i'm spending my birthday alone because even though i care about everyones life no one seems to care about mine :(

Hmmmm well he just snapped on me cause i asked him whether drinking meant more to him then me as a friend and he said " i just want to fucking drink ok? quit being selfish" ......does anyone find that reply ironic?

Considering it's your birthday .. it's your friend that's being selfish .. I hate how birthdays to some people mean another excuse to drink and get drunk

Still 5 months away until my birthday .. I never mention my birthday to anyone. No point. If people remember, that's cool .. but I don't hint around about it or anything.

I tell nearly everyone I know about my birthday. Last year only three people remembered. Stephanie (because we went out that night), Bethany, and my friend Bryan. Everyone else just decided to forget.

Don't worry about your friends, especially the ass that just wants to drink. Next time he does something, make a really big deal about showing up, then just don't show up without telling anyone. The next day when he calls to ask why you didn't show up, just say you didn't feel like getting up to go see him.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

i wish i was turning 20
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

ya Happy B-day!

It's unfortunate your friend is acting like this but don't blame the other ones who are working, it's not exaclty their fault... Anyways I wouldn't do what Alan said, two wrongs don't make a right and I doubt your friend would get the idea of what you're trying to get through to him anyways so it wouldn't be worth it. Just keep being a good friend, good things come to good people.
