need some advice..

Post by .:x:Marissa:x:. »

I've got a group of friends who really mean the world to me, but it seems with more than one of them, I am always the one who has to pick up the phone and call them whether it be just to chat or to invite them over or w/e. I'm just not getting it in return. I don't know how to talk to them about it, because I don't want them thinking I'm being pushy or w/e. And the thing is it doesnt happen with all of them, so I dont know how to bring it up. HELP!

Guy: Her locker's down the hall, I've counted 17 from mine.
Girl: Does he see me? Does he even know that I'm close by?
Guy: We're in the hallway, always at half past nine.
Girl: Would he ever get to know me? Would he take the time?

I was like that in high school, but when I got to college I just stopped making the effort, and now I have no friends. Solved the problem, course then again...I have no friends... :uh:

I would bring the subject up individually and as lightly as possible - just explain that you feel that you're the one always doing the calling, and say it's not really a big deal and that you were just curious.

Maybe your friends are not the phoning type... well i don't know how likely it is that ALL of them are like that, depending on how many of them there are... but i for one am hardly ever the one to organize something. mostly because i'm introverted and hate the phone. I've got one particular group of friends, and there's always one or two people who organize our get togethers every single time, but it's not cause the rest of us don't like them, just that we're anti-social and/or can't be bothered

yeah. me too.

and i know how that is marissa. i'm always the last one to know when my friends are doing something. once they drove halfway to applebees before they remembered they were supposed to pick me up.

honestly i think the best thing you can do is stop making the effort. if they're good friends of yours they'll become concerned by your silence and contact you. give them a chance to come after you.

I have a group of close friends in school, but outside of school it's just me and the CM, and the rare get-together with the school group of friends [I talk to my school friends on AIM though].

I don't have any close friends .. just acquaintances now .. my friends and I have all drifted apart and moved on .. I guess we weren't all that close to begin with then.

I think they said w/, as in "with," but I'm guessing "w/e" would be "whatever."
