Post by Joey »

Single of the Year - Avril Lavigne: Complicated

International Album of the Year - Eminem: The Eminem Show

Juno Fan Choice Award - Shania Twain

Album of the Year - Avril Lavigne: Let Go

Group of the Year - Sum 41

New Artist of the Year - Avril Lavigne

New Group of the Year - Theory of a Deadman

Songwriter of the Year - Chad Kroeger *shudders*

Rock Album of the Year - OLP: Gravity

Producer of the Year - Alanis Morissette

Rap Recording of the Year - Swollen Members

Pop Album of the Year - Avril Lavigne

The rest don't matter :P So Avril walked away with 4 out of 6 awards. I didn't think Theory of a Deadman would win for new group of the year .. I was expecting Avril to walk away with that one too. Go Alanis too on Producer of the year ..

Shania's dresses/outfits were funny .. all the different hockey teams. The Leafs one got booed

there are actually still people who stand by their hatred of Matthew Good even after Avalanche?

Christ, people, it's amazing. I mean, he's always been amazing, but now I didn't think there could possibly be any doubt.

I heard the album and "weapon" was probably the only decent song on the whole album...

The album didn't do anything for me other than confirm that I hate him and his music

Is that the new fad of CM? Posting a quote AFTER you post your message?

Personally, I don't think Weapon should have won. It's only the satire and the "anti-conventional rock video" that gave it an award. But seriously, even Sum41 did that with "Still Waiting".

I thought Black Black Heart would have won. It's way better in terms of cinematography and all.

Still can't believe Avril got best album......I mean, already?

[Edit]AHH, is the board changing host!! I lost a huge chunk of my message! I'm not retyping this!

I dont get it, I thought the Juno's were like the Canadian Grammy's? I mean, the Grammy's are definitely shit awards that don't mean a whole lot, but at least they give them out to credible artists. Avril Lavigne? Sum 41? I'm 100% sure there were albums within Canada that were better than these. Ugh. [/rant]

EXACTLY!!! The Juno's is EXACTLY like the Canadian version of Grammy's. And if Christina Aguilera wins a Grammy, what do you expect from the Canadian Grammy's?

Seriously, where's Godspeed on the list?

Many of the people that have come down with SARS came to N.A. from across seas, when I heard the whole illness starting to go "gung-ho" I thought..

sheeeit....Avril and OLP are in Europe. Then, that person in Toronto died with the crap yesterday. Kinda freakish.....that's all.
