Does anyone else here find it funny how Avril Lavigne won POP ALBUM OF THE YEAR!??? :lol:

what else can you classify her as?
she isn't rock, she isn't punk, she is too edgy for pop but thats the closest genre... pop isn't a bad thing, it's constantly evolving
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.

She did good this year .. she won 4 out of 6 awards so that's something to be proud of. Plus her attitude seems to have changed a bit .. the last awards show I saw her on she was all cocky and arrogant and this time she was very good about it, almost shy. She even talked about how she wants to grow as a writer and an artist. Go Avril :)

Yeah I was very surprised to see how calm and down to earth she was at these awards.. after seeing her being all arrogant before.. hehe I wonder why the sudden change? Regardless it's cool.
