I like that expression. Anyway, here's a bunch of lies and mistruths about the war on iraq: http://www.cnn.com
And now the truth
Russian Intelligence Reports on what's really going on.
Now I know you people will be saying that "that's bullshit! if it doesn't come from the DOD endorsed amerikan news outlets it is fabricated!" so i will add a heavy dose of credibility: on 20 march your government reported that it had captured Umm Qasr and had the surrender of over 8000 iraqi troops, the entire 51st infantry. source: cnn's report
Notice that the intial report was "8000 surrender" and it then melted into "2000 surrender and the rest ran away".
And what did it end up being? One surrendered and he lied about his rank. The rest are still fighting.
Oh the DOD is so smart! They somehow thought that 8,000 angry iraqis who were shooting at them surrendered!
The best part: The russian website had that information on 20 march, the same day your government was lying about what was happening in the gulf. Right now I trust russian intelligence reports infinitely more then i do CNN. Now for more links!

the count according to the red cross was one dead. add up the bus, and even the 14-15 that were SUPPOSEDLY killed by a stray missile, and i'm sure you have less then 100. I'm not really taking Iraq's word about shit like this. something tells me we are doing alot of things right considering that these Iraqi armies you talk about march civilians in front of themselves. that really takes a lot of balls doesn't it? so obviously they are desperate.
The IRAQWAR.RU analytical center was created recently by a group of journalists and military experts from Russia to provide accurate and up-to-date news and analysis of the war against Iraq. The following is the English translation of the IRAQWAR.RU report based on the Russian military intelligence reports.
so in other words, they are no better then nbc and shwartscoff. but let's get back to this war here:
in a war that uses 90% smart bombs, this is alot different then what Russian generals and newscasts are used to, how would they know how to fight one of these wars if this is really the first of it's kind? yes let's leave our batalion out in the desert, open for attack. i'm sure you would rather a war out in the desert then inside a major city, since iraqibodycount will tell you we have killed 200-300 people. maybe they are doing this to make you happy?
i'm no general but i'm sure we got it all figured out. and of course we got the Fort Hood Tech Squad comming in. that's right baby, real texans, not this el paso we are in another time zone shit.

the russian site is reporting the news only - they have no opinion on who the victor will be. the only opinion i cited was that of an amerikan former UN inspector who says that you don't have the troops to occupy baghdad.
if you read the daily reports coming from iraqwar.ru, however, you'll see a much more objective report then the one coming from CNN. And that report shows stiff iraqi resistance.
do i think amerika will win the war? yes. i just hope iraq fights bravely for as long as they can against the cowardly opressive invaders.

that's true but you said it was russian intel, when it's just another media outlet that a guy who has a hard on for russian avionics posted on his web site. and where on this site does it talk about the sale of jamming devices sold to Iraq from Russia? doesn't mention that now does it? seems like they don't talk about their own iffy situations now do they? yes, let's avert the attention to the war going on and let's forget about the illegal dealings in mother Russia. they are no better then martha stuwart and her fucking salad.

Realize that every country has its own interests here; Russia, France, Germany, between oil agreements with Iraq and a good-sized Muslim populations, are against this war for that reason. The politicians know that they'll lose favor and end up losing power if they do this, not to mention the cheaper oil. America's in the war for oil, too -- as well as a vendetta, and a political combover for George W to get through the next election. And, we're also attempting to democracize another country. And, at the same time, we're also removing the biggest pain in the ass in modern history, Saddam Hussein, ending some crimes against humanity, and avoiding what may have been an eventual strike down the line against other countries. God knows if Saddam had started to raid another country, everyone would scream for the US to police them... we're being proactive, instead. Preventing a fire instead of fighting it. Russia knows they wouldn't be attacked, so does France and Germany. They're on good terms with Saddam.
Everything you read from any news source nowadays is propaganda. It is only when you weigh both sides of the propaganda -- whether it is for the war, or against the war, and come up with what you yourself feels has more of a balance to it, that you can claim your own feelings on the war. Until then, you're simply pulling out the shit that someone out there taught you to pull out. The information that you spew is information without education, also known as useless waste of thought.
Or, as Piebald so eloquently puts it...
"Hey! You're part of it!"
It's shit like this that has broken my "American Heart".
BTW, that was was subliminal advertising for Piebald. DL them now, and then buy all their cds.

Losing? Hell, they were losing before they started.
And how is that Oh All mighty anti-american who doesn't know her own ass from a hole in the ground? All you ever spew is nonsensical one liners that make you look like a fool. If you can't expand on why you think we "lost before we started" then go back to the unintelligible spam forum where you belong. Fact of tha matter is we are winning and WILL win. Its moronic for anyone to think that the strongest military in the world would lose to Iraq. The majority of them aren't even trained soldiers. Sure its a little more difficult that some may have thought. Anytime you goto war there are gonna be casualties. Some seem to think that we aren't gonna lose any troops. Thats BS. Notice how the US called in 100,000 more troops from the US plus another 60,000 from Germany? We are acknowledging that we could use more and we were planning on bringing at least the 60,000 anyway.

Losing doesn't necessarily mean being "beaten" by Iraq. Losing could simply mean losing so many lives without a just cause (which is [somewhat] what Alex believes, regardles of what you think).
Maybe instead of insulting people you should learn to read between the lines a little. I mean, saying something in one sentance doesn't make it any less valid. Perhaps it would have made sense to ask her what she meant before jumping all over her...

i see winning as taking Saddam out of power so he cant kill any more of his own people, concoct anymore crazy mass killing bioagents, and before his even more insane son can take over.... sounds like a plan to me.

I like how it applies to you just as well. Life's funny, that way.

Okay. Seriously.
You are so wrapped up in your anti-USA glory that you've been defending Saddam Hussein. You refuse to see the world in anything beyond black and white, you are so bound up in your "objectivist" philosophy that you're no longer objective, which does actually make me laugh.
You wave your flags just as much as anyone else, and if it doesn't fit into your completely impractical religion then you just wish it away. Don't bullshit me.

By "losing", i was referring to the many things that the United States is losing by dint of starting this war. On one hand, you are winning battles in Iraq, and perhaps also a regime change. However, you are losing some of your oldest and staunchest allies. You are losing huge amounts of respect around the world. You are losing your position in the global mindset as a fair arbitrer of peace. You are losing the faith of many many middle eastern people in the wisdom of the West. You are losing the lives of your citizens. All things considered, I would say you are losing...
