Walkers Line
Walkers Line
Last night I went to check out a new alt-rock band from Burlington called Walkers Line. Two former members of left Pencey (Andre Palmeiri and Pat Leyland) are in the group, which is the reason that I went to see them. It was their first real gig but the guys put on a great set. I recorded the show so if anyone is interested in hearing it feel free to contact me. The band should have some more shows coming up in the GTA over the next couple of weeks. I highly recommend checking them out if they're in your area!

How on earth do you know about a street in Burlington if you're not from the area? I live an hour away from the city and didn't even know it existed until I heard the band's name!
I just uploaded some pictures from the show on Wednesday. Not the best work I've done, but fun nonetheless. Check 'em out at www.public.fotki.com/allisonolp/walkers_line

Bravo Allison!
Those sound great. That's a really good recording. I haven't listened to all of them yet, but I haven't heard my voice yet which is good
Nobody needs to hear my over-tired editorial comments.
I was actually there @ 279 to see them - Walkers Line were fantastic. Two thumbs up from me. I'd suggest downloading these, and especially if you are from the GTA, pay attention to Allison who can probably give you info on future gigs. I believe the band has a website coming too, but I'm not sure if it's done yet.

Walkers Line has all sorts of shows in the works for Southern Ontario this month. Details are still pending, but watch out for gigs in Toronto, Guelph, St. Catharines, Hamilton, Kitchener/Waterloo and Peterborough. I'll keep you guys posted, but for now they have one show confirmed:
March 19, 2003 - Toronto, ON @ Clinton's Tavern, 693 Bloor St. W. (website launch extravaganza)
I'll be there as long as my work load for the week isn't too heavy. I'm stoked to see these guys again!

Kyle: I'm dying to go to this Waterloo show, so if your weekend isn't looking to busy you should come down. We can drive down King St. in Kitchener and reminisce about our adventures at Club Abstract and the Circus Room!! I'm also going to try my damndest to make it to those TO shows, despite the fact that they're both on a Wednesday. I'll let you know - we can hook up again! I'm glad you like the recording. I'm off to listen to it right now!
Josh: Come to TO for a show!!
