I Mother Earth returns....

Post by ajk »

I.M.E. retuns with a Vengeance.

Check out their new single "Like The Sun." off their upcoming album The Quicksilver Meat Dream (yeah.. it's a pretty bad title..)

A clip of the song

The whole song, but worse quality

This is one of the best songs i've heard in a long time. Brian's vocals have improved by about 1000000000000 times.

I'd forgotten how good these guys actually were.

IMO they are definitley up there with the top Canadian bands

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

After hearing Blue Green Orange, and I felt the same way for sure.

I think the ultimate example from that album is Summertime in the Void. That is arguably one of the tightest songs musically that i've ever heard. But Brian's vocals IMO, made that song worse than it could have been.

But after hearing Juicy, and especially this new track, It sure sounds like Brian has come a LONG way, and could potentially surpass Edwin.

That being said, Brian sounds better than Edwin live. And his stage presence is much much better than Edwin's ever was.

actually yeah, it was most of their last album that turned me off from Brian, and i thought his voice actually wrecked alot of great songs, except cloud pump, i liked that one, but yeah your right if he keeps up at this rate he might surpass edwin

PS: you right edwin isn't that great live

I've always liked Brian better, and eveyone thinks I'm crazy. Edwins voice doesn't seem to fit the music as well as Brian's.
