wow, i've just ben checking out some stuff by OURS, this guys talented, he'll only be living in Jeff Buckley's Shadow for so long, it definatly takes some time to warm up to, but this guy can write amazing, the Video for sometimes is sooo good, his singing is the same live if not better then on the album, and if you read up on them these guys are totally genuine and in it for all the right reasons, if ou like Jeff, or and dark lyrics check these guys out! Try, "Sometimes" "Relize" "Miseryhead" or "Fallen Souls"
His Voice is almost the same as Jeff Buckley's but it could be compared to Bono and Black Lab too

Yeah, I'm a pretty big fan of theirs too. I saw them live once at a radio festival and the put on a great show...a little short as they were on the side stage, but great none the less! Their website says that they'll start their next tour in late February, so I'm waiting for the dates
they're not for everyone but they definatly are good, it proabbly sucks being compared to Jeff so much though, sure it's a complement, but looking, sounding like, and having a unique style like Jeff must make it soo hard for them to make they're own name, lol i just remembered he was friends with Jeff too......man no wonder everyone compares them

Clumsyboy, man you have good taste in music... Ours, MGB, I Mother Earth, Buckley, OLP...
Anyways, I could go on for hours talking about Ours, but I hate repeating myself, so check back on the various other Ours topics on this board for my input on this unbelievably talented band.
oh... one thing I don't think I mentioned before is that Ours released a indie record back in '92 called "Sour"... only 5,000 copies were made and I was lucky enough to get a hold of the MP3's. I'll pass them around if anyone is interested... just hit me up on ICQ. There are some really great songs on there and no duds. Definitely some of their best stuff ever released.
thanx! you obviously have good taste too, you don't happen to have the song OURS from sour do you? i've never heard it but i like the lyrics, "the mean between extremes" rules

yep, I have the whole album... have you heard the song "Lotti Di"? Jimmy just goes nuts in that song.. it's like an incredible vocal rollercoaster ride (if that makes any sense ), it's so awesome... if you need any songs, let me know and I'll send em over. I'm heading back to NYC tuesday and should be back on ICQ/MSN sometime around then..
and yeah, "The Mean Between Extremes" is kickin'... especially that sweet guitar solo!

The best Ours song off of Precious has gotta be "Chapter 2 (Money)"... vintage Ours! especially the solo & epic ending! "In a Minute," while being somewhat short, is also very cool... kinda reminds me of "Lotti Di" in a way. "Realize" would probably be their most rockin radio friendly tune. "Places" gets my vote for most moving/emotional song... one of those rare, balls-out, beautiful performances that'll leave you in awe every time you listen to it.
Ours is amazing I actually discovered them becuase a girl on the CC always used to say how great they were so I decded to listen. they're now my 2nd favorite band after OLP. i love them SO much.
how did you get Sour?!?! i want it!!!!! Is there any way Icould d/l the songs off of you?
i havent gottena chance to listen to precious as much because i am still listenign to DL, but isn't Leaves a little 9-11esque?? i mentioned that on the ours board too. from what i have listened to off of precious, i love.

Sure thing, I'll pass em along to anyone that wants them... try finding me on MSN/ICQ sometime. If you liked Distorted Lullabies, you'll absolutely love Sour... I think it outmatches Precious on many levels.
I have a bunch of songs of off Sour downloaded, but I haven't been able to find the actual CD. But the chances of ever finding it are pretty slim, I guess.
