FINALLY a Sigur Ros fan on this board. I saw them live in Massey Hall on October 30th and they were, simply put, exhilirating. The critics are right, they are the only band that can get people to sit down and listen to the music. Very different from the OLP show I attended two days later. Picked up ( ) the next day, I must say I like this album even more than Ágætis Byrjun. I still need to get Von and Recycling Bin though.

Definately one of the best album of this year.

i was really dissapointed because i wasnt able to attend that show. hopefully they'll come around again. i also like ( ) better then Ágætis Byrjun. i love the atmosphere that ( ) sets up. unfortunatly, i haven't heard anything before Ágætis Byrjun besides leit af lífi, which is on von brigði (recycling bin). it was supposed to be on von, but they ran out of time and couldnt complete it. its different, but very good (its more electronic)

It's really weird that you guys started this thread because I just downloaded a bunch of Sigor Ros songs this morning. I've heard some of their stuff and it is very interesting. They come highly recommended to me from the singer of left Pencey. He said their show in TO in early 2002 was amazing.

Yeah, do any songs even get up to the "Svefn-G-englar" level?
Cuz that song is just coo-al.

Track 1 is my personal favourite, track 4 is known as everyone's favourite. I still need to listen to it some more, usually I put the cd on without paying attention to what track number it is. Both songs exceed Svefn-G-englar imho.

Banadababy, get Nyja largid and Viorar vel til loftarasa. I recommend you getting the Svefn-G-englar single first and see if you like the stuff.

I downloaded Von and Recyling Bin! Haven't listened to them yet though.

von and recycling bin are really expencive if you order them, i think the total comes to around $40 each. i also recommend track 1, and track 8.

There were selling for $35 in the concert merchandise, I didn't get them because they were too expensive. Maybe someday I'll go travelling and I'll end up in Iceland, then I'll pick one copy for everyone.

Someday of course, who knows, it's the future.
