another new untitled poem

you were beautiful,
a beauty you weren't
ready to possess.
you captured my heart
and everything i had
to go with it. the way
things came to be was
like something out of
a fairy tale. who can
forget the stars over
our heads when you
said that boys like me
are hard to find? i don't
regret that you found me
or that you loved me.
i wouldn't give that up
for anything. but i know
i'd give anything to have
it back. as long as you're
happy, that's all that
matters to me. that's
how it's been since the
very beginning. smiles
make the world go round.
i hope they make us go
round too and that our
fairy tale comes full circle
and we live happily
ever after.
