11/23/2002 - "tour news"
by Steve
Hey everyone! Steve here. Just got done with our show here at Villanova University, which is just outside of Philadelphia, and I'm good and tired. The tour is going great and we're all having a great time. We've only been home from Europe for a couple of days, and we had a great time over there. You wonder and worry about if anyone is going to show up, and if they do show up, you wonder if they're gonna like us or stand there with their arms crossed. Well, I'm happy to report that we had some amazing audiences over there, many of them singing the words to the songs as loud as they could, which never failed to blow us away, as we wondered each night if anyone was gonna show up! The only drag was the jetlag, which seemed to take me about a week to get over. Having a four hour sleep right before hitting the stage is a bit strange for the psyche....................................
Although we had a lot of press over there, we still got to see a lot of the cities we were in, which is a great experience, every place over there has so much history and there are so many old, beautiful buildings and things.........something that we don't have a lot of here in North America. We hope to go back very soon and hopefully tour there in support of each album for now on.
I'm having a great time lately as all this is becoming more and more comfortable. I am so excited for and looking forward to the future. We are currently planning out our next few months and throwing ideas around and we are very excited and trying to figure out how and when we can get into the studio to begin a new record. We have been messing with some ideas at soundchecks and I've heard Raine messing with the odd idea and all I can say is that I'm super super psyched and can't wait to put some stuff down on tape.
Well that's about it for me today. Hope you all are well. See you on the road and take care.
