we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I never used to like rap, but since a lot of my friends listen to it, I've been forced to listen to it too, and I actualy like some of it. From what I've heard, I like Eminem, Outkast, Nappy Roots, and Jurassic 5
boo.

I've been a fan of Outkast for awhile.

I know a lot of people hate these two but i'm fans of Jay-Z and DMX. Although i don't agree with a lot of what they are talking about.

Jurassic 5 is good too.

As for Canadian content... i like Swollen Members a lot, they are doing there own thing. The Rascalz are really nice too and have put out some good stuff

Swollen Members

I was at the Gravity Games and this Canadian guy picked it as his music to bike to... I think I was the only one in the crowd who knew the song. I also like Outkast, but rap just isn't my thing. I ain't down wit the bling bling. I let it flow, don't need to sing. Let the sound of my voice ring. WORD

Maybe I am a lyricist after all??

naahh, can't be...

I hate rap, but I like it now and then.

Favorites include the Lost Boyz (amazing), OutKast (older stuff), 2pac, older Biggie stuff, Mase (haha), Big Pun's first album, Bone Thugs, and lots more R&B stuff.

Go download Music Makes Me High and Get Up by the Lost Boyz.

I really love Jurassic 5 and I don't know if they count as rap, but G. Love & the Special Sauce is also very good. Jurassic 5 is awesome live. Haha, rhyming...

That's exactly how I feel. His songs are so easy to get sick of.
