Wallflowers - Red Letter Days

Post by don't ask why »

Go check out Wallflowers - Red Letter Days. This album is a gem, an absolute must-buy. Great songs include: Closer to You, Everybody Out of the Water, Here in Pleasantville, Three Ways, and the first single, When You're On Top.

It is pretty good. I've never been a huge Wallflowers fan, but I went to see them yesterday at Tower Records and had to buy the CD to get into the performance. Needless to say, I like them now.

That is one of the first CD's I bought when I got back on my modern music kick. For years all I listened to were the golden oldies, thought a lot of the stuff out there didn't have meaning, this stuff sure did!

The Get Up Kids have an album called Red Letter Day. What a coincidence.

That was my contribution to the topic.

Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) played guitar on The Wallflowers' new album, so that is reason enough to give it a chance.

The whole album is great...the only song I don't really like is "health and happiness" but the rest is fucking amazing. "Everything I Need" and "See You When I Get There" are definite CLASSICS as well as "How Good It Can Get", and "Too Late to Quit"!! Even the bonus song is pretty good. I thought their last album SUCKED except for "Sleepwalker", which was great, but they more than make up for it with this. :D
