Which city is OLP favorite to perform?

Post by Clumsythief »

I really wonder which city is OLP favorite to perform on-stage. Most people will say Toronto but I'm not sure about it. I'd say Montreal. I live in Montreal, and everytime I went to their concerts in Montreal, they always said that Montreal is their second home and Raine always said that we have the best crowd and that we are the best singers! Raine also said to an interview at Musique Plus that he loves Montreal and it is because why OLP always end their touring in Montreal. That's why they ended the club tour in Montreal at the club soda two years ago when they performed almost all the songs from Naveed, Clumsy, Happiness and SM in a concert that last almost 2h45mins. MONTREAL RULES, Toronto rocks!

They played in the vicinity of Detroit like half a dozen times this summer. Must be a Mazur thing.

I'm not very surpised about that because everyone loves Montreal. Montreal's crowd is very enjoyable. Sincerely, I think that Toronto's crowd is just not comparble to Montreal's. You just have to compare the two shows at SnowJob (Jam Des Neiges for M+) that OLP has given in 2000(JDN M+) and 2001 (Snowjob Much). The Montreal crowd were very excited and knows all the lyrics of the song. In SnowJob 2001, the crowd was kinda disappointing. Raine even said that the crowd were awful because almost no one sang the part "Doesn't anybody ever know" in Superman's Dead. Anyways, I'm just dissapointed that OLP hasn't perform in Montreal for almost 2 years now.

:wtf: Huh? I don't think Snowjob is really representative of Toronto! Maybe I read that wrong... :wtf:

However, I'm not defending Toronto. I have heard quotes from several bands saying Toronto crowds are just... not good. We're generally apathetic, just standing in the crowd with our arms crossed.

Well Simple Plan said that Toronto feels like their home. Even more than Montreal from where they came from.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

I'd have to say that Montreal and Toronto are the two biggest in canada, and Detroit and Hartford in the U.S. They do tend to play in Detroit a lot, and, for the most part, they have great crowds with great fans.

Buffalo has to be near the top for the US. They sold at the show at the Flickinger Arena in less than a day. There was a lot of people there too.

When I bought tickets to the St. Andrews Hall show, March 13, 2001, the ticketmaster worker said it sold out in under 4 minutes...granted, it's not a huge venue, but impressive nonetheless.
