I assume that no one was able to record the show at Hartford the other night. Very sad if its true. It was an amazing show that unfortunately will only be remembered in my memory...

yeah that was an awesome show! it was my 1st olp concert and from what ive heard from other ppl it was one of the best of this whole tour! if anyone did record it i would love to hear it- i was way up front and could barely hear raine singing- my friends who were more towards the back said it sounded much better! but i dont care, i would rather be up front than be able to hear it really good!

I was right in front, a little to the left. i think it was cuz i was right in front of one of the huge speakers on the floor. i could make out what he was singing cuz i know all the songs but the music kinda drowned him out. and i really couldnt make out some of the things he said between the songs. my friends were in front in the beginning but then 2 of them left and stayed in back for the rest of the show and they said it sounded much better from the back.

OLP makes me sick...

Post by rustynation »

Actually, I've had a nasty cold since I walked out of the Webster Theater Sunday night, err, Monday morning. I managed to make the party, but we were back near Hartford way before five, and I said I wanted to head downtown to see what was going on, but my father refused, as he didn't want me to be in the ghetto alone. Therefore, I missed the chance to meet OLP. Dang, I *so* wanted to cut Raine's hair ;)

I stood squished in the eighth row in a line with Steve, though I turned towards Raine. I think this was the first GA show I've ever attended when I wasn't front row. I felt really claustrophobic. Furthermore, I swear everyone there was under the age of 16 and still smoking pot.

But oh my GOD that was an AMAZING AMAZING CONCERT! I can't wait to see OLP again; too bad three of five weekends in Canada in November isn't an option for me. The last weekend in November is completely out; it's American Thanksgiving.

I wasn't too thrilled to hear so much from Gravity since now that I have all five albums, I hardly listen to it at all, but we got a long show. I wasn't sure how long they were supposed to play, but they played longer than the venue thought they would. The long encore rocked my world, and although my freshman year first-semester roommate turned me off to U2 for a long time, their cover was one of the most incredible live songs I've ever heard, and I'm a concert whore.

Raine still looks like a llama, and I couldn't get any pictures of Steve or Duncan because of the lighting, but otherwise, I can't say enough good things about the music and the band at this concert. Wow. five thumbs up.

And yes, I could hear Raine fine.
