My friend, whom I introduced to OLP, had this to say:
I introduced my dad to OLP this weekend. I think he is a fan now. His exact words were "It's good to hear pure, good old, rock and roll again. Nice to know that some bands still make quality music"
Am I the only one who gets giddy when OLP are complimented?
Su7an:I bet Duncan can fly. He's just holding out on showing that skill off. joe_canadian:Yeah, one day at a concert he'll just stop playing and be like "Yo muthafuckas! Wheeeeee!" and zoom off into the horizon
I introduced my dad to OLP. He doesn't seem to mind them..but he's always doing that oooOOOoooOOOOoo thing from IAH? It's kind of annoying. I feel like he's mocking me and the band.
since i had no one to go with me to the state theater detroit concert cuz my bro backed down my dad had to go with me and he had a major headache after the concert he said. he says all their stuff is the same.
My mom doesn't really care for them per say, but she has stated to me that she would come to an OLP concert with me, she wants to get as close as possible.
Again: my fifty year old mother would voluntarly brave the pit at an OLP concert.
I know, I know, in all. But you have to admit - I've got a cool mom.

my parents may not like OLP,but i got my little 12 year old sister hooked on them, my brother doesnt really like them either,so at least there's one more member of the family that likes OLP
back in 97 when my friends and I were "too young" to go to a concert a concert by ourselves, my dad came along to see olp. He thought it was alright, and found it cool that they did a cover of "Tomorow never knows".
My dad's heard SwOT, and has decided that, while the band is credible, he really doesn't like Raine's voice.
Random: I heard Superman's Dead on the radio today after school (I stayed after to work on an art project and the teacher had the radio on)...I nearly died.

my dad went with me to one of the shows on the 'spiritual machines' tour, and now after ever show i get back from he asks if they had the cool video at the show. he said the music was good and he had something fun to watch too. pfft, as if Raine isn't enough.
