Sweetness

Post by CODITH »

As for OLP's future, Maida says he thinks "Gravity" has some legs and will have at least one or two more singles, including the stellar "Not Enough." They also just finished working with Rock again on a song that may appear on an upcoming soundtrack. And as for the follow-up to "Gravity," don't be surprised if they're back in the studio with the same producer.

Dang. Was hoping they'd go back to Lanni, but what can ya do? I'm happy as hell they're already thinking about their next album.

And Not Enough's gonna be a single! That'll give the unwashed masses a true taste of OLP

stupid unwashed masses

This interview pretty much sums up everything we talked about for the last couple months since "Gravity" came out, some of us wanted to ask Raine personally what he thought about Bob and him altering the band's sound, part of us have a rather revolting attitude towards Bob or even Raine. This interview tells me that OLP didn't abandon their past fans, now I understand Gravity isn't an album made to sell out and conform into into the mainstream music culture, but it is an experiment for the band with a new producer and new style. Apparently the experiment shows that they like how they are now, even though I personally don't like it, I'll have to admit they band truly evolved. What I think is, OLP has driven into a new phase, and it's unlikely that they will go back to Lanni in the next album, maybe they should work with a new producer that they never worked with to further their experimentation on new sounds. Let's face it, OLP isn't as refined as Tea Party that they are capable of self-producing yet. Maybe that's the caliber that OLP is getting into.

Ya I'd love to see OLP produce their own album. Thats really the only way we'd see the "true" OLP

Saw you last night danced by the light of the moon.
don't look now, just keep watching the TV hating what's too see waiting for someone to say something that's right.

Gravity's not the best in terms of OLP, but come on, compare it to the other shit that's coming out these days. It's a very good album.

I agree. It's not their best work, but it's still one hell of a good album.
