OLP @ ACC (Toronto), November 1

Friday, November 1st there will be a show at the Air Canada Centre (Toronto) presented by Edge102.

This morning, anyone who goes down to the Edge studio will get a wristband. They have 500. With the wristband, you can come back at 730am on next Tuesday when OLP will be live at the Edge. On that date, they will exchange the wristband for a free ticket to the concert. As well that morning, they're giving away "front row seats". Seated floor?

I also heard a comment that all tickets for the show on free? It's at the ACC... they have more than 500 seats. Will there be more giveaways?

Stay tuned for more details - it's kinda sketchy right now.

More details...

There will be NO Ticketmaster onsale for this show. All tickets will be given away by the Edge.

Our Lady Peace will be at Edge102 on Tuesday, Oct 15 (edit - I originally wrote 12th - don't panic, just a typo. 15th is what the Edge has been saying so far) around 8 am for an interview and performance. At that point, they will announce how they are giving away the remaining seats.

Right now, the first 500 who go to the Edge this morning will get a wristband that entitles them to pick up two tickets next Tuesday. That takes care of 1000 tickets, but there will be more.

I believe they are just using the "Sears Theatre" setup at the ACC. Meaning the stage is put up right against the stands at one end (and there is no floor).

More than likely, there's going to be another Toronto concert. Think about it. On Nov 4th, there's a concert in Sweden. So, there's no way that Nov 1st begins the Canadian tour. When they do begin their Canadian tour, there's no way they'd overlook Toronto. This concert is just to pacify you guys for a little bit, they'll be back. They just have to be back. :nod:

Friday November 1st BEST BUY PRESENTS OUR LADY PEACE at The Air Canada Centre in concert with 102.1 the Edge. ALL TICKETS ARE FREE and we'll tell you full details and how to get them ON TUESDAY OCTOBER 15TH. OUR LADY PEACE will be in studio with Dean Blundell on the 15th to play a few tunes and hand out a pair of front row tickets to the show. But - to kick things off - the first 500 people to come by the Edge at 228 Yonge starting Monday (October 7th) will receive a wristband entitling them to a pair of tickets to the show. You'll have to wear the wristband from now til Tuesday October 15th - AND YOU HAVE TO COME BACK AT 7:30 A.M. ON OCTOBER 15TH TO GET YOUR TICKETS..

that's what I'm saying! A lot of hardcore fans are going to get screwed over.

OLP wouldn't do that to their Toronto fans, there's going to be another concert sometime this winter, there just has to be.

If the concert's on Nov 1st, like Kyle said, then this is just something to pacify the whining Canadian fans (no offense intended). Right after the concert, they're going to Europe. You guys are getting a Canadian tour, so when they do decide to do that, Toronto will have to be included, that's obvious.

I shouldn't be complaining since I am seeing them this weekend .. but I haven't seen them play in t.o since 1997 and the t.o shows are always amazing .. I'll stop whining now :mrgreen:
