Disturbed and System of a down

Post by CODITH »

IMO these are two of the best new bands out on the market, even though SOAD has been around 4-5 years or so there still relatively new. These guys are just great fucking metal/hard rock/nu metal groups , they defintly make fans of this music proud of there sound and lyrics. Both there sounds are incredable and both are probally the best live bands out at the moment,

I'll give SOAD credit, they're really creative, and I like their music, but Disturbed....
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I see a lot of people leaning towards SOAD, and saying Disturbed isn't quite as good..

On the other hand, I think System of a Down tends to have one formula for a song that they just.. keep re-using for every song.

Soft, hard, soft, hard.. it's always the same. I prefer Disturbed out of the two. Even though Disturbed hits you with pretty much only the "hard" stuff, it does have a meaning to it, and the guys in Disturbed are well-schooled both in the instruments they play, and in programming, so they can add in a whole bunch of sounds to complement their music.

Plus, awesome live show. Haven't seen SOAD, so I couldn't tell you about them.

I personally can't wait for Disturbed's "Believe" CD to come out.. giddy up!

haha, when we were doing inventory at work, we were listening to the Disturbed cd and one guy got all scared. He was asking Jesus to save his soul. It was hilarious.

The only song I know by Disturbed is something about Sickness .. and I really like that song .. I know a few by SOAD and I like what I've heard but not enough that I'd rush out and buy their cd's

i usually drop for bands after the first song i hear of them, i never really heard of disturbed before i heard stupify and right away i was like ahh man this bands the shits, same with system, i first heard toxicity and at first i was like what the fuck is this, but then you get hooked and you cant stop listening, that was the same with OLP, i listened to clumsy and i was like fuck this rocks, and with finger eleven and GOBS they totally kicked ass, as well as others like Static, Nickleback, incubus they just get you from the start.
