Gravity singles

Post by CODITH »

I think olp should go back to the naveed, clumsy cd single selections

like have 4 vids, 5 singles

like this

Gravity/Vids- SOT, Innocent, All for you, Not enough
/Singles SOT, Innocent,All for you, Not enough, Sorry

ya that could be cool and i think they might. It seems they're trying hard to get new fans off of mtv and stuff.

it would just make more sense, you want to show that you have a cd jam backed with great songs, and having half of the cd as singles surely shows that

I think they would take Made of Steel or Do You Like It over Not Enough. I mean, those songs sound "more poppy" so why wouldn't they release it over one of the heavier, darker, and less radio-friendly songs?

Yeah, Not Enough won't be a single, I'm pretty sure.

Made of Steel is almost guaranteed to be.

I don't agree with you guys because I think that "Not Enough" would be an awesome single and video. I think that people will love that song.

Here is my selection:

Videos: SOT, Innocent, All For You, Not Enough
Singles: SOT, Innocent, All For You, Not Enough, Bring Back The Sun

Not a selection, but a half-assed prediction:

Videos: Somewhere Out There, Innocent, Made Of Steel, Sorry
Singles: Somewhere Out There, Innocent, Made Of Steel, Sorry, All For You

id' love to see all for you released as a single. i really like that song. same with sorry, but they don't even play sorry at concerts, so i don't know if that'll get released. i'd love to hear that on the radio though, and a video...phheewww...i can't wait for more videos, just so long as they're better than SOT

I will put this in perspective about Not Enough. Yes, most OLP fans think that's a great song, there's no question about that. Bot when you're trying to gain more fans, you don't release a dark, heavy song after your first two singles are these nice, fluffy, poppy songs. Think about it, the first two songs can draw people into the band, and if you're not familiar with OLP, the third song will scare you away. I do agree that it could make a great video though.

hmm. I've thought about this, but I never posted it. During the Kilborn show, they played SOT, Innocent, Not Enough, and All For You (I don't remember if the last two were in that order) SOT and Innocent are singles...maybe they did that because Not Enough and All For You are going to be singles too...hmm...just something to ponder.
HARDCORE!!!

OMG. I can't believe I din't think fo you
until now because when I think on
a scale of one to ten you're like YWELVE.
No, seriously?

yeah, that makes sense. If what you're saying is true, then I think that the 3rd "nice, fluffy, poppy song" single would be Sorry.

I still absolutely adore "Not Enough," and I don't want it to become a single...I have my reasons.

Yeah, when Dashboard Confessional was on the Kilborn show they played "Again I Go Unnoticed" before and after commercial breaks, and didn't play "Saints and Sailors." Saints and Sailors became a single, and nothing has come of Again I Go Unnoticed.

if Not Enough becomes a single it will be the last one. I would expect that they might want to use that song as a bridge to future work.

ok here's my choices
singles w/vids: SOT, Innocent, All for You,
singles w/o vids: Not Enough

Either Made of Steel or Do You Like It is gonna be the next single. They won't go from uplifting Innocent to something hard like All For You. Either MOS or DYLI? would be a good bridge to All For You.

I think the next single should be Made of Steel. Oh yeah and pop through your nose hurts, now that we're on the topic.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?
