NEW I Mother Earth single!!

Post by Rigger »

For anyone interested in hearing their new song "Juicy," you can get it here:

http://www3.sk.sympatico.ca/bweb/
(right-click and rename from .txt to .mp3 when saving it onto your computer.)

Listen to that rockin' solo at the 2:34 mark! :D
This is also the version of "Juicy" that is found on the xXx Soundtrack... so knowing that most IME songs are much longer than it's track length of 4:09, this one might have been edited a tad.

yea, i agree with Gimme_Shelter. IME was way better with Edwin. And Edwin was way better with IME.

I"m a pretty big IME fan (S & F is an AMAZING album), but i agree with what's been said.

Although, i don't think it's IME as a whole that has gotten worse. Musically they are just as good as they've ever been. Listen to the music in Juicy, even Blue Green Orange was great musically (just listen to summertime in the void..)

I'd even venture to say that musically they are the best band out there. The Tanna brothers are ridiculously good.

I think it's the vocals that are hurting the band. Brian's a really nice guy, very nice... but vocally i just don't like him like Edwin. It just doesn't fit. Like i said IME's music is excellent, but i think the vocals are lacking. I'm really interested to see if Bryan's vocals are better on their upcoming album.

Judging by Juicy it sounds better, but i'd still like Edwin behind the mic. Still i hope the guys in IME get success, after what happened with Blue Green Orange. They are some of the nicest guys around and deserve it (plus they put on a rockin live show!!)

That being said, Edwin has gone to complete garbage without IME. His songwriting is horrible. And he's not the nicest guy either, based on my experience.
