Anyone like Silverchair?

Post by kristen »

Hey! I was wondering if anyone knows if Silverchair has sheet music for piano anywhere. I've called around but I can't seem to find any. Or does anyone know if there's any midi files for any of the new (diorama) songs? Because I can sorta change those into sheet music. Thanks!

Yeah, Kristen did a Silverchair thread, w00t
I'm all about Emotion Sickness and Anthem For The Year 2000. Their newest album is good too, but I haven't listened to it as much.

Diorama is just beyond words. Tuna in the Brine is a masterpiece. I love this album. I downloaded it and burned it, but my friend's been borrowing it for like 2 months, which really sucks.
Anyway, I'm sorry I can't help you out about the piano scores... I would like them too because I play the piano. Did you try pianotabs.net?

Tuna in the brine is an awesome song! I just got the studio cd version songs for asylum, hollywood, and ramble (from the without you single). I'm soooo glad that I found them! They're all pretty different from eachother. I tried the pianotabs, but no luck! I think I'll see if I can special order a book of them (if there is one) and scan it.

If you want the mp3s of asylum, hollywood, and ramble, I found them on here. When you type it in it takes you directly to the download thing for each song.

Neon Ballroom is the best.

I like Diorama alright, but the only song that really catches my attention is the one that's like, "You don't know the truth, and I love your life.." I think that's such an amazing line. I think the song is called Love Your Life.

^yea, but I think they spell it: Luv Your Life...(even though it's lame that way) it's a good song.. I like all the songs on the album.
Ahh.. my computer's too slow to listen to the songs.. I'm trying to find them on winMX... Kristen, do you have them downloaded to your computer?

nevermind!- I think I got them Kristen. I found them on winMX, thanks though!!
I noticed that each of them kind of sound similar to songs on Diorama (even though I love all of them)... Asylum definitely reminds me of After All These Years (which is good because I like that song), Ramble kind of reminds me of Without You, and Hollywood.. hmm, I guess its closest parallel would be either Lever or One Way Mule. This is of course just my reaction after first listening to them. I'm sure they won't sound so similar after I listen to them more.
Thanks for bringing these songs to my attention!!

this subject is stupid (no offence intended) we've had threads upon threads about how much we love Silverchair, personally i love the Neon Ballroom album.

^We've discussed this before. It is perfectly all right to recycle a thread since we get new members who haven't seen the old ones and we don't want to go searching back pages to find it.

When is Diorama released in the U.S.?

(steps in after excitement has faded a bit)

whoooooooo, Silverchair rocks!

In fact, I love Silverchair so much that at some point in my life, when I have a lot of time, I'm going to use the music from Diorama to make a broadway musical. Think about it.

Anyway, I don't know of any piano book of Silverchair. However, I know that there are Silverchair guitar books, so that could give you at least a starting point.

Yeah, Diorama is too fluffy to be Nirvana...at least what I've heard. None of the wannabe Nirvanas can even compare to the the real deal though. I wish they didn't release that new song almost, depressing how much we're missing out on with him gone.
