It was good, really good, but not one of my faves because of the weak point they shifted their plot on. It was a cool point, but not vivid enough

I think that Vanilla Sky is an example of why mainstream cinema is a healthier art form than mainstream music. Good movies are getting consumed by the public.. great films are being appreciated by the same people who listen to Britney Spears, and that makes me happy.

Cameron Crowe has always had that knack.. I think my two favorite directors are Richard Linklater and Crowe, they remind me a lot of each other, actually, now that I think about it..

isnt it insane how Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz are together and its like they already have the same last name but not and if they were to marry then her name would change but it wouldnt!

i love his movies too, and i love his choice of music. i know a lot of people do but i love how he doesn't just put music in because someone said here's the new will smith single put it in your movie dammit! i mean, he put jeff buckley in the movie, that's my favorite jeff buckley song. i could have died when that happened.

Vanilla Sky has to be the worst movie I've ever seen. How creative... he signed a deal where he'd dream while he was dead.... ooooh.... that just BLOWS my mind! Hmm.. maybe if I was 5 years old. The whole movie is fake. I just HATE when movies end like that. I liked it to about 1/2 in and then the movie took a quick dive... kinda like a male orgasm. This movie SUCKED SUCKED SUCKED. I just can't say it enough. Top 5 movies of all time?!?!? I suppose you've only seen 5 movies. Tom, you owe me $8.

this movie was the biggest waste of 2 1/2 hours in my life. It was so incredibly pointless and boring. It all came together at the end and I was surprised for a minute. The it left me saying "ok so what?".

It's just not for everyone, I guess.

Regarding Linklater and Crowe, they kinda made the same sort of movies at first.. Linklater was just a little more out there. Fast Times at Ridgemont High vs. Dazed and Confused.. and Dazed and Confused is so under-rated.. it's the only film I've ever seen and enjoyed where there's no real plot, it's just like.. an hour and a half snapshot of life. It's genius, if you ask me.. even though people argue with me about that.. then Crowe made Jerry Maguire and Linklater made Before Sunrise.. Similar themes, just a much different approach to that theme. Linklater is going to appeal to art geeks.. which I guess I am. I can appreciate well-made studio films too, though, which is why I love Cameron Crowe.
