The Bet

Post by NunoFreak »

As some of you may be aware of, Amish Mouse and I have a bet going on where Gravity will land on the upcoming Billboard Album Chart. If the album debuts in the Top 10, I will gain control of Amish Mouse's signature for one month (30 days) from the date the charts are released; which is scheduled to be Wednesday. If the album does not debut in the Top 10, Amish Mouse will gain control of my signature. What does this mean? Well, the winner basically get to humiliate the loser, by using his signature as a means to do so.

Tune in Wednesday to find out who wins...

I think it will make it. It's made to make it, and I think they did a good job with that goal at least partly in mind.

I think nunofreak will win. Just look at the board right now. New Found Glory debuted at #4, and they're not popular or well known. They don't get played on the radio that often here, their video is on the same rotation as OLP's and they're relatively newer. So if NFG can get #4, why can't OLP get in the top 10? Also, look at ICP. They got up to #3 with one of their cds, and you never see them on MTV or hear them on the radio. Nunofreak will win.

I don't know what coverage they're getting, but it sounds quite extensive. I say top ten.

I will win, because I am a winner dammit!

Seriously though, if Gravity doesn't debut in the Top 10, then I will be shocked. You see, "Somewhere Out There" is liked by girls and guys, and when girls like a song, that equals big album sales. Look at Creed; after "With Arms Wide Open" hit radio, the chicks ate it up and their album sales doubled. Like I said, I will be shocked if they don't debut in the Top 10. If New Found Glory can do it last week, then OLP can do it this week. Hell, I say even Top 5!

GRAVITY is my favorite album. I wish OLP would go all out and do dance moves, wear the same outfits, etc. I hope everyone buys GRAVITY and I hope OLP become household names. Nothing would make me prouder than to have little teenyboppers singing along to OLP songs.

I think it will debut in the top ten for sure .. no doubt about it .. it's been selling like crazy and still is .. all the commercials I'm seeing on tv and hearing on the radio about Gravity will ensure them a spot on the top ten definitely .. I've never heard/seen this much hype for an olp album before ..

I just love it when every station in Detroit plays the same song at the same time...kinda makes me sick...
