New site appreciation.
Just wanted to say how much I really like the new site and appreciate all the new stuff added, great job on all your hard work to everyone who was involved!

Re: New site appreciation.
I have to agree, what an excellent job everyone involved has done here. CM has officially become THE SITE for everything OLP. I'm sure that not only the fans appreciate this, but they guys in the band should too. Just amazing!

i think Kym will be very happy that Josh is all finished. No one really knows how many hours he spent coding the site. All the credit is his!

Re: New site appreciation.
Great Job on the new site. I was lost without it when it was down for a few days...lol. 10 years seems like a good time to freshen the place up. It looks awesome and functions really well. It appears that we can call ourselves official with the new olp.com site forum link going directly here.
I just have one small request for the site which I recall the old site having. At the bottom of each thread, there was the links back to the CM Forum and to whichever section of the forums you were in. Now it is not there and you have to scroll all the way to the top in order to navigate back. Is there any way that can be added back into the site?

Re: New site appreciation.
dig the site - nice job everyone. - looks nice sitting in the lightbox on .com too.
Only thing i noticed (aside from my award now showing up which is almost blasphemous) - the submit button on posts - it keeps switching sides, should prob just pick one and leave it there.
but ya minor thing great work and hopefully being up on .com will bring in some new people.

Do you mean in the quick reply box it's on the left, but in the full reply screen it's on the right? I'll look into the template and fix that because I agree it's a little weird. If it's something other than that, let me know because I'll need to look into it and figure out what is going on.

Should be able to add this in without too much trouble, once I started using the new forum more I missed having that too.

Re: New site appreciation.
A couple of suggestions...
The font on the main page is somewhat faint. I have a hard time reading it. I thought it may be due to my browser (Chrome) so I tested in IE and found the same results. Also, how about increasing the text size or character spacing? It's hard on the eyes
Is there anyway to feature the 'Tip Line' on the main page? Unless you click on the link, you won't be aware of any breaking news. I would just hate to see this feature get lost because I think it's one of the best new improvements.
All in all, I'm really impressed! Nice work

Re: New site appreciation.
Sure I'll see about making the text slightly darker with a little more spacing.
As for the tip line, I put it on a separate page since it allows guests to post. This way it's slightly less obvious for spammers, and if spam does show up it's not on the main page of the site until one of the site administrators deletes it.
This is something that I thought we should have since ourladypeace.cc is no longer around -- I know the CM gets a lot of lurkers who read the site who aren't too interested in signing up or logging in when they visit and I wanted a way for people to let us know about news and updates here that is just as easy as sending an email to Rich and Shelley used to be. Rather than having an inbox where only the admins can see incoming info, it's best for everyone to make something that everyone could see. The idea is that myself and the other admins will keep our eyes on the tip line, and when we think something is front page news material we'll repost it on the front page. I've been checking it a couple times per day and I'm going to add a news update summarizing some of the things in the first two tip line posts now.

Re: New site appreciation.
Ahhh, OK, that makes a lot more sense. I didn't know the news 'Tip Line' items would be monitored and eventually posted to the news page. Very cool!
Thanks for responding to my feedback, Josh.

Re: New site appreciation.
Please excuse my ignorance, but I have a question. Ever since the site change, I've been getting automatic email notifications in my gmail, and I can't seem to find anywhere on the CM to turn them off. Any help? Thx

Indeed, that worked. Sorry, didn't see the box at the bottom, was too distracted by the awesomness of the site
Thanks a lot man.
