Burn Burn Sales
Burn Burn Sales
Might as well start this thread. So far on billboard no charting a week since release. I am betting it won't make the top 100.

The dates are issue dates that are week(s) in advance.
Their charts haven't been updated this week.
Daughtry's album came out July 14th, and on the Billboard chart it says DEBUT.

"Burn Burn" was one of the few new releases that charted this week in the US:

Also, they came third in Canada:

Not too shabby.

only two other debuts cracked the entire Top 50: Total Club Hits 3 at 36 and Our Lady Peace’s Burn Burn at 41.
Hahahahaha total club hits 3.
I wonder whats on that one...

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

"The quartet's seventh album "Burn Burn" debuted at No. 3 with sales of over 11,000 copies, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.
It's their first new material since 2005's "Healthy in Paranoid Times," which entered the charts at No. 2, selling 22,000."
Half as good as HIPT? Man...

"Healthy in Paranoid Times" also followed "Gravity", which was massively successful. Their break has been longer this time, and their last effort was less successful, so it makes sense that "HIPT" was more anticipated.
Also, we're four years further into the downloading age, so sales are probably down for everyone (which is evident in the fact that 22,000 scored them second spot last time, yet half as many copies still got them into third for "Burn Burn").

If so, then I stand corrected. The fact that 22,000 got them second place back then and 11,000 gets them third place now seems telling though.
You're talking about 11,000 albums sold. Not exactly that much. What do you think 3rd place should do? 16,000? That's what, 5,000 more? Barely a difference.
Of course this album isn't going to sell as well as the past 6 albums. No airplay and an independent release means that it's not going to sell.
OLP should be ecstatic about debuting at #41 on the U.S. Billboard Chart as well.
