The Return of CREED!

Post by MattCTUSA »

hahahahaha I just hurt my spleen from laughing so hard! Sorry to those of you that may be fans, but that is very funny to me..in an interview, they said how "time has changed them"....yeah, that and the fact their money has probably dried up!

It was 10 years ago this year that I travelled to 4 or 5 shows to see OLP open for Creed and only stuck around for half of one Creed set...
that'd be some funny shite if OLP is brought on to open the reunion shows this Summer...I sure hope not. :uh:

The sad thing is, this breaks up Alter Bridge, who actually is a decent band

I saw this and though, "Oh God. Don't tell me there's a fan on here."

I actually had someone tell me the other day that they're a better band than Pearl Jam.

Alter Bridge's overall sound isn't too impressive, although I like a few songs, but Tremonti does play his ass off a lot for that band.

The sad thing about Creed is that they sound awesome if you compare them to Nickelback.

Or I guess that's the sad thing about Nickelback. But there's a lot of sad things about Nickelback.

The offspring made fun of Scott Stapp multiple times when I saw them live recently.

I hope you kicked this person in the nards....PJ and OLP are my two absolute favorites...that is a terrible comparison. Creed sucks monkey balls.

My Own Prison is a great album, I don't care what anyone says. After that, the good songs were few and far between.

corey, i agree.

i'm kind of excited to see what scott stapp brings on to the table since he hasn't done shit in years and the new cd is supposedly suppose to be " a lot darker".
and if i don't make it know that i've loved you all along.

So what is so bad about Creed?
I haven't experienced prolonged exposure.

Nickelback is disgrace to music. How many times can you possibly write the same song and call it something else and why are enough people buying it that chad kroeger can say... OK boys, let's make another album? BLEH :freak:
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

They're pretty much the biggest Pearl Jam rip-off I've heard. Scott Stapp is probably convinced he's Eddie Vedder, minus the talent of course. Add in that a good portion of their songs sound alike and they have crappy, recycled, cliche lyrics and you have the makings of a terrible band.
