Songs to bring back to the LIVE set!

Post by neoncrossing »

So with a new album on the way and im sure a tour to follow, what songs do y'all want the band to bring back live...keeping in mind they are a 4 piece now again, some of the stuff from happiness through HIPT is probably not even possible

my picks
1. Not Afraid
2. Vampires (i know jeremy told me no dice but a man can dream can't he)
3. Neon Crossing
4. Denied
5. Julia
6. Automatic Flowers
7. Happiness & the Fish
8. If You Believe
9. The Wonderful Future
10. Sorry (although they never played it live)
11. Don't Stop (although they never played it live)
12. Trapeze
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

I agree with a ton of those. I like to see pretty much any song that hasn't been played in awhile (or played at all, like Is It Safe? or All My Friends) from the first four albums. I'd also like to see some B-Sides like Trapeze and Home.

Haha, I like the crazy B-sides, but they are unrealistic. I also like the idea of Not Afraid being thrown in. The Happiness-HIPT stuff can be pulled off live to an extent. Some just don't sound right, like Angels/Losing/Sleep. In Repair and One Man Army can make it, and I bet a few others could too. As for me, Dirty Walls, Denied, Neon Crossing, Julia, Lying Awake, Life, Story About A Girl, and one good cover song.

I think I could die happy if I got to see The Wonderful Future live.

what i would love more than anything i would love to hear them mix it up and not play carbon copy shows. they have more than enough material and it keeps it fresh and sells way more tickets

Honestly, they only come within spitting distance every couple of years, so it doesn't really make a difference if they change it up. Not to me. New album + old classics works fine for me. hopefully with a non-single thrown in every now and then.

I agree with non carbon copy setlists!

Wonderful Future needs to come back!

Cover : Eternal Life or Needle and the Damage Done.

I'll be happy for some west coast shows though, even if they played polka songs all night...

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
