Ok, I'm going to wrap this up quickly.

Attempt three failed because I forgot to add the cheese and all I had grilled bread. I was bummed too because it looked to gosh darn tasty!

However, I was able to do it on Attempt number 4. Though, the sammiches were a little too buttery and burnt for my taste, but I just didn't want to cook anymore! >:O

So in conclusion: FAIL!

The grillman at my cafeteria makes the meaneset grilled cheese sammiches ever!! He made a triple decker one for me once. It was good times.

my bread comes from the freezer. 10 seconds in the nuke box and it is defrosted but not warmed (of course this could vary with your box)

now Doc how is it that you can't make a samich? this is a sammy not turkey dinner with all the fixins. you are a smart guy and can probably describe the process in german.

two versions:

bread + cheese slice (or slices of cheese) + broil = open face cheese toast

butter+bread+cheese+bread+butter+heated fry pan+flip=grilled cheese sammy.
