Debut of Yellow Brick Road
Debut of Yellow Brick Road
Raine's new single, the very popular Yellow Brick Road, will debut on radio today in the US on Indie 103.1 in Los Angeles at 10:45 AM Pacific time (1:45 Eastern, 12:45 Central, 11:45 Mountain). You can listen to the stream live at http://www.passportapproved.com/kdld/listenlive
I'll see what recording arrangements I can make and get it on here or the hub. Thanks to Stirling and Christine for the heads up.

Could be the speaker balance? I recorded the stream onto the Microtrack rather into a regular software program like Audition. Either way, it's something to listen to until you get an album version.
I'm glad this was put out for radio, even if independently. When I first heard it at Massey Hall I thought it had single written all over it, though I do prefer the live version to studio right now.

I still say it comes off much better live. I think the background harmonies should have been left out. The lyrics I thought were very radio friendly, and you probably won't hear it on the radio because it's not being released mainstream. It popped up on an indie radio station, and that is likely where it will stay.

I agree, hearing it at Massey was much better than the radio version, but like you said, it's something to listen to until we get an album version!

I like this song. I can't really judge the album version based on hearing the online stream, but they played it at all of the Hotel Cafe shows and I thought it was the best of the bunch.
