24 season 6

Post by faninor »

This starts soon! I've seen the first 4 episodes and so far it's been very enjoyable!

Jack kills a terrorist by biting him in the neck!

And so much more happens!

Though I was very disappointed how they handled the transition from season 5. It is similar to the transition between seasons 2 and 3, where in 2 ended with president Palmer's life seemingly on the verge of ending, but not being a part of season 3's plot at all.

I think they just like to use the end-of-season cliffhangers so that there's a question that we're wanting to come back to find the answer to (is the president dead? how is Jack gonna get away from the Chinese?" but they just quickly resolve it the following season rather than having a longer plot arc.

HEY NO SPOILERS! I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY EPISODES YET!

I went online because stupid FX was advertising the new season as starting "next week" - LAST WEEK. So I searched all the channels for all week and NO SEASON SIX listed. Guess what? Their idea of "next week" is SUNDAY. Ugh, tards.

I'm pretty psyched. Although moreso for Prison Break.

umm... I've never watched a single episode of 24 until this season, and now I'm instantly hooked!

You should go rent season 1 on DVD instead of watching more of the current season! The seasons usually stand on their own fairly well, but if you've seen all the past seasons 'm sure it'll make a bit more sense (or at least you'll know more about the characters).

Can we tell spoilers now, since everybody's seen the season premiere?

If so:

HOLY SHIT THAT'S THE FIRST REAL NUKE EVER DETONATED ON THE SHOW!!! AND CURTIS?! CURTIS!!! *WAILS*FLAILS*

The look on Jack's face was honestly the worst look I've ever seen him make. :'( *sadface*

I can't tell if that's sarcasm, or if you're pointing out that he was killed by bioterrorism :P They didn't detonate a nuke, he happened upon a leaking chemical weapon.

Actually he died from either an airplane crash or being a few feet away from a nuclear weapon when it detonated when he flew the nuke from season 2 off into the desert because they knew they'd be unable to stop it from detonating and he was as good as dead anyway from the radiation poisoning he was suffering (it was plutonium that he encountered earlier that season). :P

There was a whole thing about Jack volunteering to fly the plane, but then George snuck onboard and convinced Jack to parachute out before they got to the safe zone for detonating it.

I remember that, but I don't remember it being a nuke.
Hm.

You know, you're right. It was a nuke, because now that I can picture the scene, there was a mushroom cloud over the desert.

When the nuke went off in this season my thought was "Its whack that this isnt the first time this has happened"
Jack Bauers going to be pissed that they are using old story lines.

But being a Bauer all it's teeth cracked up and fell out as soon as it tried to chomp down on Kims arm.

I've stopped watching.

I saw Shawn Majunder blow up the states and figured the show had finally peaked.
