Toooo hard :(
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

If any mods feel like digging them up and making the poll items links, they can.

(It's gotta be done with html, not bbcode... so it's: <a href="link.html">name</a>, not [url=link.html]name[/url].)

I guess Matt or Josh have to find them, if anyone, then.

Maybe I will later on.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

Don't feel to bad if you lose. I placed second to Trent for two years running. He wrote, I drew. Its all very subjective. The problem with this award is that there are so many different ways to be artistic. It's hard to say if some ones writing, or song, is more heart felt, more inspired and better crafted than some ones drawing, or quilt. More than any other award, this one is a matter of taste, not talent. I can appreciate a well written story, or a well drawn art piece but I really have no clue what to look for in a poem. Does that mean Alex cannot write good poetry? No, of course not.

On that note, I nominated you because I loved the writing you did on the subject blue. (that’s what it was, right?) That's why you got my vote.

aww thanks. i'm glad you liked that piece.

i think this is a weird category to even have, for exactly the reason you stated. it's subjective. so many cmers are so talented, and it's nearly impossible to compare cross-genre art. i mean we have writers, painters, animators, quilters....it's insane and wonderful the diversity we have on this board.

i'm just horribly competitve.
