That is kinda messed up. I don't really understand what's going on, but it's cool.

I had a 400x400 matrix full of values between 0 and 1, 0 being white and 1 being black and everything between being shades of grey (or perhaps the other way around), and "original image" was just like if you colored each point according to what the value of that position in the matrix was. All the others were created by decomposing the original 400x400 matrix into 3 other matrices multiplied together, and then discarding large portions of those matrices, to get an approximation of the original image using a fraction of the data.
