Worst Cover Songs Ever Made

Post by SaturdayNightz »

Name the cover songs you wish were never made....here's a couple to start off.

Ozzy Osbourne - In My Life (Beatles cover)
Wilson Phillips - Go Your Own Way (Fleetwood Mac cover)
Marilyn Manson - Personal Jesus (Depeche Mode Cover)

+ anything that was a good song, and then changed into a dance/techno song.

Avril Lavigne(sp?) Chop Suey (System Of A Down Cover)

I have to admit though, it was funny!

Also, there's a whole album of Beatles songs done by dogs and cats. I guess they recorded various animal noises and determined the pitch of each and then mixed them to sound like Beatles songs. It sounds like a neat idea for a school project or something, but I can't believe that was actually given a proper release. My mom bought it from one of those CD clubs not knowing what it was.

And this one goes out to my man taking cover in the trenches with a gun in his hand
Then gets home and no one flinches when he can't feed his fam...

But Brutus is an honorable man...

Does anyone remember when some metal band did a cover of Madonna's 'Music' and it was all over much music and shit.
Man, that was terrible.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

Worst cover EVER....Avril Lavigne-Fuel (originally done by Metallica). I listened to it and died a little inside.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Okay...Bowling For Soup- Summer Of '69 (Bryan Adams cover)

Hillary Duff- Our Lips Are Sealed (Go Go's cover) definitely

AFI- Head Like A Hole (NIN cover)

Never Heard Of It- Build Me Up Buttercup (umm...who DID originally sing this anyway? Far too many covers of this one...haha)

The Hippos- Always Something There To Remind Me (another one I've got no idea who originally did...hmm)

And the list goes on and on...

Oh yeah, didn't Korn cover some Pink Floyd? I think it was Korn anyway. Ehn, I didn't care for it. *shrug* Pink Floyd can never be duplicated. Never.
