6 Degrees of Musicians Needs YOU!

Link up bands and musicians through related members, producers, appearences, performances, collaborations, guest spots, explicit recommendations, etc.

Here's the start of it.

The idea is to find new musicians to listen to. Preferrably ones that don't suck and I can enjoy.

Related musicians don't necessarily have to be Canadian as the chart presently shows, but damn... They sure do love working together.

Edit: Refresh it, the picture has been updated and there should now be a link between Matt Good and OLP.

This isn't terribly helpful, but Holy MacNarland also worked with MG(B). She was in their first video, and she did a duet with Matt called Flight Recorder From Viking 7

I can name a few, but don't know if you would like the bands mentioned.

also a better Matt Good to OLP connection would be

Melissa Auf Der mer opened for Matt Good on his Fall Canadian Tour last November. She also was a member of Smashing Pumpkins who played with OLP on the 2000 Summersault Festival.. BTW the festival also had The Foo Fighters on the same bill .. At the time Melissa was Dave Grohl's girlfriend. Dave Grohl was a former member of Nirvana. Kurt Cobain( lead singer ) was married to Courtney Love who was lead singer of HOLE. Melissa was a member of HOLE..

I guess that is my Melissa Auf Der Mer connection. Want to go further. Eric, guitarist in HOLE, was going out with Drew Barrymore who is now going out with Fabrizzio of The Strokes..

I guess that is my MATT GOOD-MELISSA AUF DER MER-SMASHING PUMPKINS-OLP-FOOFIGHTERS-HOLE-DREW BARRYMORE-STROKES

that wasn't what I had in mind but I got us from Matt to OLP on a positve note. :nod:

Personally, I like the "Not Terribly Fond Of" connection. You should leave it as a direct connection, as well as add Gail's connections.

okay here we go. The HIP performed with( pick one)
Sam Roberts( usa), Alanis Morrisette, Choclair, Bruce Cockburn, OLP, BNL( MWB Show)
You can also do HIP-olp, bnl, Swollen Members, Sum41-Avril Lavigne( Concert For Toronto)

Avril worked with Butch Walker who was in MArvelous 3 and also produced American Hi Fi, and the Donna's CD..

Also under OLP you could put Chantal Kreviazuk( marriage to Raine) Chantal worked with Michelle Branch and did Lilth Fair with Sarah mclaughlin.

Chantal also performed with Jason Marz ..

I will try to think of more.. too tired now..
