So stoked for the Van City show....only a 3 hour drive, I hope I get tix! Vancouver twice in a week...seeing PJ there on 9/2. How is the Commodore? anyone else going (or trying to get tix?!?)

:O Matt I'm going to PJ there too - maybe we can meet up and say hi :D

But I'll be in Vegas by the time OLP get there :(

I've not been to the Commodore, but I was meant to see the Pixies there last year and looking at their website it looked very nice :D

Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

The Commodore's a really nice venue. I saw The Tea Party and Weezer there last year, both great shows.

I'm hoping that they have some sort of OLP pre-sale. It'll be tough to get tickets to this show (There's no way the Commodore can hold up to a 1000 people, I'm guessing capacity's about 700-800 people max.)

Should be a great show.

the commodore is absolutely gorgeous. i've been there a few times when my friend worked there. acoustics are usually pretty damn great, and it is kinda smallish. it'll be totally awesome.

Awww Sonya. *hugs*

We should have a "we can't go to the concert" meetup at some point while I'm there.

Thanks all for the info...gonna be a tough ticket I am sure! I've seen OLP plenty of times in small places in the States...but this small of a place in Canada will be completely awesome! Saw them at the Musique Plus show in Montreal, but that was made for TV...this show, should ticketmaster allow me to get a ticket will rock my socks off I am sure! hahaha

And Soozy, very cool you'll be at PJ too! I am not sure what time my friend and I are getting into Vancouver...seeing them the night before at the Gorge down here...and depends on Customs, too! But, sure, I'd love to meet up ! It's always cool to meet fellow OLP and PJ fans!

September is gonna rock!
Peace!

Yay two meet ups :D

Where are you sitting Matt? I have the crappiest of the crappy behind the stage in a corner seats, but it's going to be worth it - PJ are the only band left on my "bands I really really need to see" list and they haven't been to the UK for way too long.

umm...been a faithful PJ Ten club member for over 10 years...fan club seats are usually on the floor...in the first 10 rows...you should have a great view from your seats though...the band usually has an open back stage and eddie often serenades the people back there!

OK, the opening band for the Vancouver show is Jets Overhead...anyone heard of 'em?? and, the tix for vancouver are only 13.50?!? that will be about a buck or 2 USD! hahaha ;)

Geez, I better go back to work now.

Oh also, the Commodore can hold up to 3000 people, according to a website I visited.

Good question ... Probably ticketmaster? I know I got my Pixies tickets for the Commodore from there. You've got another week to find out though.

I think that website's lying. The general consensus from google searching is 900 - 1000
