ok so i was working on the upstairs bathroom with my dad and my mom went and got us lunch. she got us sandwiches, drinks and a candy bar for each of us - a snickers and a butterfinger. i knew snickers were my dad's favorite thing ever so i let him have that and i took what would be my last butterfinger ever.

"what could go wrong" i thought as i opened it. well, for starters, i hadnt taken into account that it was pretty hot in my place, we were fixing it up and hadnt put the AC in yet.so it was sort of melty. not like melted, but kind of... that greasy kind of melty. fine. whatever, these things happen. so i bit into the end of it and i swear to god the thing exploded. like grenade exploded. peanut butter crunchy crap all over me, all over the carpet i was sitting on (we didnt even have chairs at this point).

at this point i'm getting pissed off. i figured i was dealing with uneven floors, uneven walls, shoddy construction and maintenance from the previous owners, etc... I could certainly overcome this candy bar dilemma. i dont even really like peanut butter candy that much, but it was the principle of it - there was no way this thing was gonna beat me. i'm 23. i've eaten countless candy bars in my lifetime, i can do this.

so im really soldiering this one - im eating more and more of it and the crumbs kept piling up and getting everywhere and it was melting all over the wrapper and my fingers. i mustve been blinded with rage at this point, because I hadnt noticed there was a new layer on my teeth - a crispety, crunchety, peanut buttery layer on my wonderful teeth. it was one of the most disgusting feelings - having this sugary napalm all over my teeth. it would not come off without extreme effort.

and thus, i have sworn off butterfinger. forever. blegh.
