oh my god, i saw the link (that it started with clickondetroit.com because that's my local news station) and was like freaking out, but yeah i heard about this guy on the news. apparently he was with some child actor too. this whole situation is messssed up.
The actor doesn't want to be brought into the whole mess, and you can't really blame him.

That's creepy. When I have children, it's scary enough out there to consider not letting them use the internet Of course...that was extremely restrictive when I was 13.
I feel sorry for sex offenders only because I wonder about the psychology behind the actions. In this case where there was some stalking I don't know if I feel sorry for him, but in cases where you find adults falling in love with children (a la that school teacher who had 2 children with one of her students) I often think about history and how it was common for girls to marry at 13 (this is still common in other countries). I also wonder about whether soul mates exist, and if so do they have to exist only between people of roughly the same age? I mean whose to say that someone's soul mate couldn't be someone 15-20 years younger. I dunno... Just a couple thoughts, which really don't have a whole lot to do with this case.

I think that it's important for people to realize that it's an illness. I mean, there is medication for pedophilia (though the jury is still out on how effective they are). I am disgusted by the actions of child molesters and pedophiles, but I can't help but feel sorry for them because it isn't something they can control. I think that almost every pedophile, if faced with a choice would choose not to feel the way they do, think the way they day, or do the things that they (want to) do. I'm not going to say that pedophiles should die, or are a black mark on society because I view it as an illness. I wouldn't say that a person with Schizophrenia or Leukemia should die. Pedophiles in my mind are no different. I just wish that they would get the help that they need, and that society and their victims deserve.
It makes me feel sick.
