hey, is there still a free shuttle from Union Station to Ontario Place every half hour throughout the summer? They had that a few years ago, I don't know if it still exists.

Just wondering if this might help those who are considering coming in by train/bus

Okay I booked my hotel room for the Metropolitan! I'm not going to bother calling them since it's late and I'm sick of being on the phone (20 MINUTES WITH MY CABLE COMPANY IN THE BUGGY NIGHT AIR! BAH!) and spending money...omg I'm just going to leave it the way it is. Queen bed, no clue where I am, doesn't much matter anyway as long as I can find you guys at some point. I'm so excited to meet you guys!!!

By the way, my friend who is coming with me...she's not all that into OLP. She's going for Keane. So she's nervous about being around hardcore fans. Let's play nice with her, shall we? We are after all shelling out a lot of cash to go to this show ;)

Oh, and to anyone who was anticipating a cute 17 year old boy coming along with me, yeah that's a no-go. Parents said no. Parents are the devil. Haha. Just kidding. But I think it's for the best anyway...I'd be afraid of losing him!

this is slightly off topic..... but the days hotel is downtown..... and since my friend and i will probably never have the chance to go to toronto again for a very long time, we'd like to hit up either the toronto zoo or wonderland.
which is better and are they very far/complicated to get to ?

both are about 30 minutes (ish) by car away from downtown, but via transit I'd have no idea how to get there.

there's a bus or something you can take directly to wonderland. i believe there's info on their site about it. wonderland is awesome.

and KATHY. are you still selling tickets? and if so, are they pit tickets? my friend's looking for a pair..

No sorry, my tickets were sold to Lindsay. But more pit tickets became available on ticketmaster today... you just have to select level GE 100's specifically in the drop down menu (Best Available will give you 300 level seats)

I'm being extra helpful lately so here goes...

Wonderland will be swamped with people that weekend. You'd wait in massive lines everywhere there. The Zoo will be busy but you're just looking at animals, so it's not like you can't be patient and wait for people to walk by the rhinos.

To get to the Zoo you have to take the Go train east to Rouge Hill, then get off there and take the bus to the zoo. Once you get off at Rouge Hill you re right at the bus terminal and the bus driver will be nice enough to tell you which bus goes to the zoo and if there isn't a direct one, he'll tell you when to switch buses and which one. The bus drivers are nice so don't be afraid to ask them, they're used to it. You can also take the subway but it's a slower trip (although a little bit less expensive by a few bucks)

oh ya I walked by the Days Hotel today and it looked like they had parking. Considering it's right beside Maple Leaf Gardens you shouldn't have trouble.
